I finally watched Animator VS Animation. I uh... I have feels. Those are some EXPRESSIVE stickmen, damn! If anything, AVA is a masterclass on body language! But it also happens to be fun, spectacular, emotional and beautiful! So much effort goes into every episode, I as a fellow animator I am measuring the amount of work and I am HORRIFIED! So it is time for another episode of "Sel finds stuff on the internet" : Go watch AVA! You won't be disappointed!

Howdy hello- guess who made a wings au :)
More to come with this eventually- I’m working on my designs for other characters at the moment, but for now we’ve got Red-Tailed Hawk for Curt and Eagle Owl for Owen.
For DMA I had Barn Owl wings because a) Barn Owls are beautiful and I wanted to draw the wings for them, and more importantly, b) Owen would probably want to disguise his wings, and it would make sense if it was as a different type of owl. I just assume he’d dye his feathers in some way or another. Look- just don’t think about it too much.

OH MY GOSH did this make me laugh! I was not expecting the wide eyes and the peace sign vanish JKKDHAHSLDL This is absolutely real and canon to me. They use their special SOUL skills and abilities very responsibly!
Top notch animation as always! I love the detail of the shadow on their face coming off with their hat, and the fact that they dash back once their hat is back on their head. The arc of their hat flying off their head is very well done too, very tangible weight! There's so much personality packed into this! Great expressions and poses!

Thank y'all so much for your prayers re: last week's church crisis.
It's been a frustrating week, but I finally confided with my mom about my concerns, we talked for about an hour altogether, and I instantly felt the weight lift from my shoulders.
While I'm still unsure about speaking to the elders, it suddenly seems quite obvious to me that I should delay taking the membership vows, and spend this coming quarter alternating between my parents' church and the more local PCA church to see which is a better fit.
#on paper it looks fantastic#but when my mom & sister visited they said the atmosphere was unsettling and the congregants antisocial#however this was several years ago and it was Covid times#that said. I do hate the idea of being in my parents' household and not attending the same church as them#and I do recognize there is no such thing as a perfect church#but when considering the prospect of raising a family it is a priority that my church prefers clarity over winsomeness#in my parents' stage of life it is a smaller concern (they are frustrated as well but very familiar--by necessity--with lukewarm churches)#Christianity#x#continued prayers for discernment are obviously appreciated
